The Top Three Items You NEED For Fall

My favorite season is finally here and I’m soooo excited!! While I can definitely appreciate fashion in any season, there’s something about Fall fashions that just hit differently. I’m not sure if it’s the cozy sweaters, chunky boots, or chic jackets but styling looks during this time of year is so effortless!! Today I’ve rounded up a few staples items that every woman needs in their wardrobe this fall.

The Blazer

As a self-proclaimed blazeaholic, I can personally attest to the versatility blazers provide. They are the perfect way to elevate any look and Fall is the best time to showcase that. Even something as simple as jeans and a t-shirt will instantly look more polished once you add a blazer.

Another great thing about blazers is the number of styles to choose from. From the fitted tailored to the oversized boyfriend cut, you’ll definitely find one that tickles your fancy. When it comes to styling them I love to pair a bold colored or printed blazer with a graphic tee and jeans for a casual but trendy look, and for a more polished look, I’d swap the tee for a buttoned-down shirt and pair it with leather skinny pants and heels. Both looks are simple but chic…looking good doesn’t have to be complicated okay!

The Boot

Boots are basically the official shoe of the season. They go with everything and no matter your style, there is a boot for you. Whether it’s chunky or sleek, a flat or heel you can pair them with anything and instantly transform your outfit to a fall-appropriate look.

Since I’m all about maximizing your current wardrobe, One great way to transition into the season is pairing summer dresses with chunky boots. Not only would you be getting more wears out of the dress but you’ll instantly be fall-ready and on-trend. The same styling concept can be applied to shorts as well. One of my favorite ways to style them is by adding tights and tall boots. Pair that with a blouse and blazer for an instantly chic ensemble. If you were wondering if you need a new pair of boots this fall…consider this the yes you were looking for.

The Jacket

A killer jacket is just as important as a blazer in this season. It’s the pièce de résistance that completes a look. In my opinion, everyone needs a moto jacket, denim jacket, and trench coat. I’m going to add shackets to that list since they’ve become very popular this season.

Although initially, I wasn’t a fan, I’ve had a change of heart due to their versatility. Since they are both a shirt and jacket in one, you can easily transition them into various looks. That’s always a win for me so I’m definitely here for it.

Another great thing about outerwear for fall is the number of different textures they come in. Tweed, wool, leather you name it and I guarantee there’s a jacket for it. Personally, I love mixing textures; My go-to is usually leather (or faux leather) paired with textured fabrics like wool or tweed for an edgy twist to what could be a more traditional look.

Oh, and let’s not forget about the prints! Statement jackets are a must if you’re trying to create a bold look. An all-black top and bottom paired with a bold jacket is the easiest way to style prints especially if you’re not used to wearing them. It’s the gateway to doing the most without doing too much. 🙂

I can talk about fall fashions all day but for the sake of not making this post obnoxiously long, I’m going to stop here. There are a few more items that I didn’t include here that are definitely worth mentioning so I think I’ll do a part two to this post and talk about them. Keep an eye out for that post.

Comment below if you have any questions or suggestions for things we can discuss relating to fall style or style in general. I’d be more than happy to give my two cents and answer any questions you have. Until next time, stay stylish!!
